This genre has had an important influence all around the world during the last years. Speaking about film in EE.UU means to speak about Hollywood, however, there are also in this country important film studies such as Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Miramax Films, etc.
- Hollywood.- Hollywood is a neighborhood located to the south of California, its name comes from the words "holly" and "wood" (forest), and it was originated in the first years of the 20 century when production companies of New York and New Jersey moved to this city due to their favorable weather conditions. In Hollywood, there are two highly important places, the Hollywood Boulevard, a famous avenue that has the names and footprints of famous actors incrusted and the Chinese Theater of Grauman where the last film premieres are projected.
