Film production equipment
As everybody knows, the principal part of a movie is the human material such as actors, actress, producers, directors, scriptwriters, etc. But we wouldn't have those movies at all if it weren't for lots and lots of equipment. The film camera is probably the most important item in the film production equipment and nowadays they are specially and highly designed, revamped, improved, re-engineered, and adapted for all kind of purposes in the filmmaking.
There is some camera support equipment that might be required in the film production equipment; this equipment includes booms, cranes, lifts, dollies, tracks, jibs, tripods, and stabilizers. They are also often included cars, trucks, and motorcycles to transport the cameras and other equipment during the filming. Some times it is required specialized equipment for enhancing audio and video effects. Lighting and climate control machinery are also often needed to create the appropriate effects for a movie.
Computers, their supporting software and peripheral machinery are also included in the film production equipment list. Computers are very necessary because they are used for compositing, imaging, animation, capturing motion, and editing.
The necessary equipment for making a film will be the following:
- Film Camera.
- Camera mounts - It usually use a tripod for static shots and a wheelchair or a home made dolly for moving shots.
- Audio systems.
- Lighting (not crucial).
- Editing - A digital capture card and computer software is often needed.
