Dutchess Community College (Communications and Media Arts Program)

The College has been serving the residents of Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley for almost 50 years and we are proud of our service and commitment to educational excellence. In addition, I am pleased to let you know that a DCC education is affordable - we have the lowest tuition of any college or university in the state.

The faculty at DCC have a strong commitment to student success. Their dedication, coupled with our fine facilities and very affordable tuition, make Dutchess Community College an excellent choice for your college degree. Please contact us, either through this website, our on-line application or registration form, or in person by telephone or visit. We would be happy to answer any questions you have, and show you why Dutchess Community College is the college of choice for the residents of Dutchess County and the surrounding area.

This program is designed for those who have an interest in the mass media, especially in video, audio and visual effects for moving image productions. Students may select courses among three production areas: Video, Audio, and Visual Effects for the Moving Image. Through an organized program of study, students are provided with comprehensive critical theory combined with practical applications for creative expression and professional standards. Graduates will be prepared for positions in television, video or film production facilities, radio, audio recording studios, news media, web design, etc. or to transfer to four-year colleges.
