Panico Films

For nearly twenty years Panico has been running practical filmmaking courses. In January 2006 Panico became part of London Film Academy - Panico @ LFA.

Our training is run by leading film technicians who help students develop their skills and find work in the industry.

Panico started out in film production in 1985. Our roots lie in the production centre set up by Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam and Julian Doyle after they had finished Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Panico @ LFA's patrons include some of the industry’s leading figures – Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Ben Kingsley to name but a few - between them boasting impressive credits, including:

Time Bandits, The Life of Brian, Ghandi, Brazil, Twelve Monkeys, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Schindler’s List.

If you think the best way to do this is a lengthy and expensive media studies course, think again. When it comes to working in such a competitive industry you need practical, hands-on experience and professional contacts. Film work is rarely advertised. Jobs are most often filled by word of mouth, which is why it pays to build up a network of professional contacts and develop your skills - and that’s where Club Panico @ LFA comes in.

We’re the only film production company that offers training geared to the realities of the industry. The Panico @ LFA Foundation Course will get you started as a filmmaker. It gives you a good, basic grounding and loads of professional, practical advice. Following the course you can join Club Panico @ LFA. The Club is run exclusively for students who want to make films and find work in the industry.
