Power Image Workshop
Focusing on the application of Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress Pro and After Effects, Power Image Workshop is designed for new filmmakers who want to understand the creative side of post-production process for film and video making as well as career editors and designers who want to further polish their skills.
We offer short-term courses taught by working professional editors who may introduce basic techniques and helpful tips, leading you into the world of editing or motion graphic design. You may also further your skills in our advanced courses in which you will be exploring more sophisticated functions to create professional looking projects that meet today's industry standard.
Power Image Workshop believes in “getting personal” with our students to provide effective and quality career training in the area of film & video editing and motion graphics design. Each course at Power Image Workshop is delivered in a small-class setting so the students may receive individualized attention; and to further ensure our students’ understanding of the course content, we offer a 6-month post-class Q & A service via e-mail for students to clarify any questions they might have while practicing on their own.
Students at Power Image Workshop may come from a variety of background, such as producers or writers who must understand the post production process in order to meet their job requirement, graphic designers who want to step into the motion graphics industry, current editors who want to catch up with the latest trend, independent filmmakers who’d like to edit their own projects, and filmmaking rookies who need to equip themselves with adequate skills to enter the field.
Past students include producers, DPs, editors, and writers from renowned TV networks like NBC Universal, AMC and Lifetime as well as freelancers in graphic design or film and video making industry.
