Northern Arizona University (School of Communication)
Northern Arizona University's School of Communication prepares students to understand both the intellectual and the moral aspects of communication. We provide students the tools, knowledge and ethical framework to become leaders in the field of Communication.
The School of Communication is comprised of eight programs: advertising, electronic media, journalism, merchandising, photography public relations, speech communication and visual communication. Each program is staffed by highly qualified faculty who have earned regional, national or international recognition in their respective disciplines, and who often combine outstanding academic credentials with professional experience.
We are the only communication program in the country to integrate oral, visual and written communication, and to blend a unique variety of disciplines, including advertising, electronic media, journalism, merchandising, photography, public relations, speech communication and visual communication. Recognizing the demand of digital technologies, we include a comprehensive study of contemporary communication methods in each major.
