While acquiring technical skills and developing your own creative work, you will also be learning to analyse and appreciate the context of your specialism and how it fits contemporary culture.

Students engage with the creative, practical and collaborative processes of film and television production and with the critical ideas and interpretations which have shaped film and television culture. Students are encouraged to make constructive links between the theory and practice work. The course benefits from being close to the film and television industries and receives substantial support from manufactures, facilities companies, film laboratories, etc. Many of seminars and workshops are given by working professionals.

The Westminster Film School is a vibrant meeting place for students, industry professionals and film theorists. It provides world-class courses in film and television production and film theory at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as the opportunity to undertake doctoral and post-doctoral research in theoretical and practical disciplines.
