Salisbury College (School of Photography, Film TV & Fashion,)

Salisbury College has been home to one of the United Kingdom's top Schools of Photography, Film and Television Production since 1958.

The School built its reputation on preparing students to work as practitioners in the visual communications industry and remains true to that ethos today.

The structure of the courses we offer reflects the philosophy of attracting applicants who are determined to succeed in professional photography, the television industry or in drama and documentary film production.

The course structure is arranged in a 2 + 1 format, with applicants beginning their higher education in this subject by joining our two-year Higher National Diploma. Successful graduates from the HND can then stay with us to complete a third year and a full Bachelor of Arts with Honours award.

The HND is approved by BTEC/EDEXCEL and application is made through the Universities & Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), using course code 006W for Route A applications, or 006E for Route B.

The final undergraduate year takes the form of a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in PhotoMedia (Photography) or (Film and Television) and this course is offered in partnership with the highly respected Media School at Bournemouth University.

Although the course is taught entirely at Salisbury College, it benefits from the support and close links with the University who bestow the award.

Application to the Bachelor of Arts in PhotoMedia is also via UCAS using course code W622 for Route A applications, or E622 for Route B.

Students studying with us for three years need not make their application for the PhotoMedia course until the second year of their HND.
