The University of Glamorgan is Wales’s largest provider of media practice courses. Subjects include film and television production, screenwriting, drama, set design and music technology. With over 1,000 e-learners worldwide, it is also one of Europe’s leading universities in the use of digital technology. Its renowned Business School is Wales’s foremost centre for Business and Management education. The Glamorgan Centre of Art and Design Technology, the University’s sister college, recently won Skillset accreditation for its animation courses.

Drawing on such expertise, the Film Academy can work hand-in-hand with its international partners and the industry to deliver the best film education and training.

The Film Academy was established at the invitation of Lord Attenborough on behalf of Dragon International Studios. Based at the University of Glamorgan, it offers flexible post-experience and postgraduate professional courses in the creative and business dimensions of film. Successful candidates for admission can gain experience of direct relevance to the film industry.
