The New England Institute of Art (Digital Filmmaking & Video Production)

The Bachelor of Science degree program in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production provides an intensive study of digital production in three highly competitive areas: Digital Cinema, Corporate and Commercial Video Production, and E-Journalism. Students entering the program will all take the same courses through their fifth semester and then choose a concentrated area of study in one of three areas for their final three semesters. The degree gives all students a solid base of foundational material to develop critical thinking skills in History of Mass Communications, History of the Moving Image, The First Amendment and Media Literacy and Popular Culture. It also immerses students in the digital technology for shooting, editing, writing, graphics, and communications on the web.
Graduation Requirements
To receive a Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production, you must complete a minimum of 123 credit hours with 40 credit hours in general education courses with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Also, you must receive a passing grade or credit for all required course work, meet portfolio or other requirements, complete a 120-hour internship or capstone project, and satisfy all financial obligations to The New England Institute of Art.
